Create a business consultant network.
Skillbridge was a leading online platform for elite business freelancers. In 24 months of rapid growth, the company had over 7,500 screened freelance professionals, with clients ranging from the largest private equity houses to the Fortune 500.
Skillbridge enabled businesses to quickly hire top consultants, accountants, statisticians, and other trusted specialists in areas such as research, finance, law, and liability when they need them.
The proprietary Talent Dynamics platform intelligently matched the right talent to best-fit projects to deliver what clients want: a fast and reliable way to engage high-level business talent. Skillbridge was founded at the Wharton School and had offices in New York and London.
At the end of 2015, I was brought in to create a brand that reflected the mission and business goals. I worked alongside the founders as I designed all aspects of digital product, brand and marketing efforts.
Matching talent with projects
During the research and discovery phase of the identity project, I focused on inspiration from logo systems that use multiple iterations of a mark (or series of marks) to communicate a particular aspect of a brand.
The concept of a dynamic identity system fit with the company’s distinctive DNA – using data and algorithms to match talented business professionals with lucrative projects that aligned with their skills.
The flexible and versatile identity reflected the innovative platform's diversity of projects and talent. Skillbridge's customers had access to hiring top consultants, accountants, statisticians and other trusted specialists in areas such as market research, financial modeling, and corporate due diligence.
